Hands that inspire worship

Chandigarh, August 14: Sree Chaitanya Gaudiya Math, Sector 20-B, Chandigarh is busy preparing for Sree Krishan Janamasthmi which will be celebrated on August 27. Although many temples will be celebrating the same but Chaitanya Math stands out completely.

The amount of effort and creativity with which this festival has been celebrated by Chaitanya Math in the past years is marvelled at by the residents. While talking to Newsline, an activist of the Math, Vishnu Maharaj said, ‘‘Every year Chaitanya Math celebrates Janamasthmi in a grand manner. We make statues out of clay to exemplify Gods and various mythological instances’’. Further commenting, Vishnu Maharaj who had come from Delhi, told that an artist from Bihar is especially invited to make the statues. The statues are made attractive by adding light and sound effects to them.
